Lanfinch finds nothing

On iPhone and iPad, allow Local Network for Lanfinch in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network. Guest and separate IoT networks are often kept apart by the router: scan from the same network as your devices.

A device has no name

Some devices only tell their name to the router. Tap Rename to give them one, and the icon to choose what kind of device it is. Lanfinch remembers both.

No makers on Android

Android doesn't let apps read MAC addresses, which tell the maker.

Restore a purchase

Open the unlock screen and tap Restore purchase, with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought Lanfinch with.
